OverviewAre you looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunity? Gilbane is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer to perform Operational Excellence (OpEx) functions in our Federal division.
This position can be out of any Gilbane office.
Responsibilities
- Schedules, prepares, and conducts certain sections of the Project Health Assessments (PHAs) in conjunction with the Sr. OpEx Engineer / Sr. OpEx Manager
- Manages the Client Survey Process, working with Project Executives to ensure surveys are scheduled and received
- Maintains and tracks status of projects in regard to kickoff meetings, building envelope reviews, client survey status, PHAs, etc.
- Attends, participates, and contributes at internal kick-off meetings
- Provides data for the annual Divisional and BU strategic plans
- Attends the companywide monthly OpEx peer group meetings
- Serves as a BU resource and guides employees on how to perform their daily tasks
- Participates in monthly project forecast meetings
- Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
- Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Construction Management
- 4 years of experience in the construction industry
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent analytical skills
- Self-confident, self-motivated with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Procore and CMiC and ability to extract details associated with Change Management, Submittals, RFIs, Daily Reports, Meeting Minutes, Inspection Checklists, Rolling Completion List, Punch List, etc.
- Knowledge of MicroStrategy and ability to run basic reports
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Gilbane’s policies and procedures
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For California, this ranges from $90,000 - $110,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
