Operations Manager - School Smiles On-Site Dental (Greenwood, IN)

Location: Greenwood, IN Schedule: Full-time, On-site, Monday - Friday Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Generous PTO, Paid Holidays, HSA

The Operations Manager will oversee daily operations and manage diverse business responsibilities, including supervising and training staff, managing dental clinic schedules, and supporting the performance of a multi-state division. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on operational management. This role plays a critical role in spearheading growth and process improvement initiatives, driving operational performance, and ensuring departmental goals are achieved to support continued organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze daily performance reporting and key metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; develop and implement actionable strategies to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual departmental goals.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges, implement solutions, and monitor results to ensure continued improvement and departmental success.
  • Manage and oversee daily operations to support dental clinics operating across multiple sites and states.
  • Lead, supervise, train, and support office staff while establishing clear expectations and accountability for performance.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, and other assigned HR-related functions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient, compliant, and patient-centered operations.
  • Monitor office staff and clinic performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Foster a positive, professional, accountable, and service-oriented team culture.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with staff, leadership, clinical teams, and organizational partners.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business or Healthcare Management preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or regional manager experience in healthcare or dental office management.
  • Proven success managing multi-site operations and overseeing staff and schedules in multiple locations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions independently.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office business applications
  • Experience with scheduling and payroll systems (Paycom preferred).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous dental experience highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience in dental practice management software.
