About the Job

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic individual with Windows, Linux, server hardware and desktop administration skills to manage Windows, Linux and Hyper-V systems.

Requirements/Job Qualifications:

  • Provides technical support to on-prem and remote users with their office desktop machines or remote access through VPN.
  • Install and configure servers and desktop hardware, peripheral devices, software, including MS Office.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including printers and scanners. Maintain computer systems, including updates and backups.
  • Working knowledge on 11th through 15th generation Dell servers, PERC, Hardware RAID controllers, RAID configuration.
  • Keep inventory of all hardware and software.
  • Windows Active Directory, MS Exchange new accounts creation and maintenance.
  • Package management - to upgrade and patch applications in the Ubuntu environment.
  • Excellent understanding and experience with both Windows and Linux (preferably Ubuntu or other Debian based distributions).
  • Good written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Ability to receive alerts and communicate with offshore staff as needed to maintain systems on a 24/7 basis.
  • Working knowledge of security technologies, firewalls, anti-malware agents and security logging/tracing.
  • Knowledge about cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is a plus.


Job Duties:

  • Install Windows, Linux and Hyper-V on Dell servers.
  • Administration of Windows and Linux Systems with periodic updates.
  • Install and configure desktop machines for new users.
  • Assist IT manager monitoring and troubleshooting of web services including weekly web services updates.
  • Work with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Install, configure and firmware update HP / Aruba Ethernet switches.
  • Troubleshoot and fix Dell servers' hardware problems, replace parts as needed.
  • Install desktop operating systems and MS Office application for on-prem and remote users
  • Troubleshoot and fix users' desktops PCs running Windows or Linux.
  • Participate in SOC2, ISO 27001 and FedRAMP compliance by following established procedures, maintaining documentation and providing evidence to auditors as needed.
  • Be on call after hours and weekends.


Compensation: Pay range: $35.00 to $55.00 depending on experience.
