Onshore - Business Analyst (Non-IT): Lead
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled contractor with expertise in data analytics and data science. This role involves analyzing non-IT business problems, articulating requirements for process improvement, and developing frameworks for assessing financial payback. The position requires identifying alternative solutions, preparing documentation of current and desired states, and building a common understanding between process owners and solution developers.
Key Responsibilities
• Utilize Python, SAS, and SQL for data analysis and modeling, with hands-on work in Snowflake and Tableau.
• Perform ad-hoc analytics using descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics to derive insights.
• Apply supervised (e.g., regression, decision trees) and unsupervised (e.g., clustering) modeling techniques.
• Manage complex analytics projects while working with large and potentially incomplete datasets.
• Analyze business problems and articulate requirements to support process improvement opportunities.
• Develop documentation for current and desired states to facilitate solution development.
• Articulate complex analytical findings to both technical and executive audiences.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SAS, and SQL. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Tableau.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability in quantitative analysis and performing ad-hoc analytics using descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics.
Project & Data Management: Experience owning complex analytics projects and working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience or exposure to AI/ML, including supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with VS Code, GitHub Copilot, and Agentic AI.
• Full-time employment experience in large banks or fintech companies.
• Credit industry experience.
