Job Summary: We're looking for a technically curious, relationship-driven Regional Sales Manager to help grow our presence across the Western U.S. and Canada. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys strategic sales conversations, solving complex customer challenges, and building long-term partnerships in a highly respected technical industry.
This is not a high-pressure transactional sales role. Success comes from becoming a trusted advisor to consulting engineers, controls contractors, and manufacturer representatives and helping customers make smarter building performance decisions over time.
You'll partner closely with independent manufacturer rep firms to grow Air Monitor's presence throughout your territory while helping customers solve real HVAC airflow and energy measurement challenges.
Our best Regional Sales Managers don't simply "sell products." They educate, influence, and help customers think differently about building performance, airflow control, and energy efficiency.
You'll spend your time building relationships, supporting strategic projects, conducting training and product demonstrations, and helping engineering teams confidently specify Air Monitor solutions into their designs.
Responsibilities: - Build strong relationships with independent manufacturer representatives, consulting engineers, controls contractors, and end users
- Travel within your region to support customer meetings, lunch-and-learns, training events, and strategic projects
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual product presentations and technical demonstrations
- Help customers solve complex airflow measurement and HVAC application challenges
- Support rep firms with technical guidance, sales strategy, and project development
- Develop specifications with engineering firms that position Air Monitor as the basis of design
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer service, engineering, and leadership teams
- Support high-profile projects and critical field service issues when needed
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive technologies, and evolving customer needs
- Provide market insights that help shape future sales strategy and product development
What Makes This Role Exciting - High-visibility territory with strong growth potential
- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge HVAC and smart building technologies
- Blend of technical consulting, relationship management, and strategic business development
- Significant autonomy and flexibility in managing your territory
- Direct exposure to leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Opportunity to become a recognized technical expert within the HVAC industry
- Long sales cycles focused on relationship-building and influence
- A role where your expertise and ideas genuinely shape business growth
- This is a remote, field-based role with flexibility to manage your schedule and territory.
- Travel varies throughout the year, but typically includes:
- 25-50% overnight travel
- Approximately 7-8 days per month in the field
- Customer visits, rep meetings, trade shows, training sessions, and project support
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in technical, consultative, or industrial sales
- HVAC, controls, or building automation experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with consulting engineers or manufacturer reps is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical field preferred
- Professional certifications related to energy efficiency, sustainability, or building systems, such as CEM, LEED AP, PE, or similar credentials, are a plus
What Makes You a Great Fit:You enjoy consultative sales conversations and know how to build credibility with technical and business stakeholders alike.
You're energized by developing relationships, uncovering customer challenges, and helping clients find solutions that create long-term value.
You ask thoughtful questions, communicate clearly, and enjoy learning how systems work.
You likely have experience in one or more of the following:

You'll thrive here if you are:
