Full Job Description
Position Summary

Provides direct psychosocial care to a designated patient caseload, including assessment, problem identification, goal setting, and care planning. Coordinates referrals and continuity of care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes. Serves as a clinical resource in a specialty area, provides consultation in the absence of the Clinical Social Worker III/Director, and may contribute through clinical practice, education, or research. Acts as a mentor and may provide on-call coverage as needed.

Education
  • MSW from an accredited school of social work.

Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural factors in clinical social work practice.
  • Knowledge of social work systems, procedures, and organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with community resources, the health care environment, and the psychosocial impact of illness and disability.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information to guide patient care decisions.

Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and treatment planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify barriers to care and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, staff, and external providers.

Licensure/Certification
  • Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW or LCSW-C level.
  • Exceptions may apply for individuals licensed in another state or jurisdiction who meet Board requirements and have a pending application or have passed the required examination(s).

Salary Range: Minimum 34.62/hour - Maximum 57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
