Responsibilities

  • Supervise direct reports and participate in talent acquisition and training.

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Field Project Manager for our Georgia OM&M Field Services. The Field Project Manager is responsible for managing the safe, effective execution of work required to construct and/or operate, maintain, and monitor various environmental control systems, typically spending more than 50 percent of their time conducting field activities with other field staff or by themselves. You will be responsible for multiple smaller projects or one to two large projects. This position's office location will be in Duluth, Georgia; however, you may work remotely and in the field.

  • Responsible for learning, understanding, and complying with SCS policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for project management, including:
    • Preparation of site-specific health and safety plans.
    • Review and approval of daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP).
    • Preparation of work scopes (plans), schedules, budgets, and contracts.
    • Financial performance of assigned projects.
    • Manage client expectations and satisfaction with work performed.
    • Communications with the project team, including clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and subcontractors.
    • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services through purchase and service order processes.
    • Responsible for reviewing, approving, and analyzing field data based on project types.
    • Provide direction on operational adjustments to environmental control system components based on data review and analysis.
    • Prepare, review, and submittal of routine operations reports to the client.
    • Assist with data preparation for regulatory reporting as requested.
    • Prepare and submit client invoices, billing forecasts, and accruals as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the quality of project work and external and internal documents associated with that work per company Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Understand, adopt, and actively promote the company’s behavior-based health and safety program.
  • Ensure field teams have the necessary safety equipment (ventilation fans, barricades, PPE, etc.).
  • In conjunction with CAP preparation, lead or participate in tailgate safety meetings prior to commencing fieldwork.
  • Conduct safety assessments of field conditions and provide recommendations to clients and staff to account for site hazards.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare associated reports following any health and safety incidents.
  • Responsible for review, approval, and submittal of employee time sheets and expense reports of direct reports.
  • Responsible for direct-reporting employee performance, including:
  • Participate in the talent acquisition process for new hires, including interviews and employment application reviews.
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Foster working relationships with other SCS Business Units, including Corporate, by actively exchanging technical and business development information
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant OM&M and/or construction experience required. Landfill gas experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Relevant project management experience required.
  • 40-hour Health and Safety, 8-hour Management and Supervisor, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.20, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training preferred.
  • Must have an unrestricted, valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.
Pay RangeUSD $95,000.00 - USD $118,000.00 /Yr.
