Job Summary:

The Early Phase TAR Field Engineer provides structured technical and planning support to Turnaround (TAR) events during early phases, with primary focus on IMPACT Phases 2 and 3. The role enables high - quality scope definition, risk - based scope challenge, engineering integration, constructability input, and digital data integrity through single - source - of - truth IMPACT Salesforce data management. The position supports development of robust FEL deliverables and ensures predictable transition from early phase planning into execution.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Event Governance & Team Coordination
• Support early - phase TAR governance activities in alignment with IMPACT Phases 2 and 3 expectations.
• Partner interface coordination with the site-based Early Phase TAR Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator, TAR Planner, and Engineering to support scope intake and prioritization workflows.
• Assist with preparation of scope input kick off sessions, scope challenge meetings, and readiness discussions.
• Ensure early - phase deliverables and decisions are clearly documented and traceable.

2. FEL Deliverables (IMPACT Phases 1-3 & 7)
• Support collection, consolidation, and organization of scope inputs, scope definition, screening,validation from engineering, inspection, reliability, operations, projects, and integrity programs.
• Review and mark-up P&IDs, layouts, and drawings to support scope clarity and constructability.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the Phase 3 living worklist, ensuring traceability of scope origin, drivers, and assumptions.
• Support application of MFO philosophy, SIMOPS inclusion rules, and TAR screening criteria.
• Provide field and engineering input into development of FEL deliverables including Framing Documents, scope narratives, and early execution assumptions.
• Identify engineering gaps, risks, and uncertainties and propose mitigation strategies.

3. Long-Lead Materials (LLI) & Procurement Readiness
• Provide field and engineering input into development of FEL deliverables including Framing Documents, scope narratives, and early execution assumptions.
• Support scope definition, screening, validation, and prioritization with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering.
• Review and mark-up P&IDs, layouts, and drawings to support scope clarity and constructability.
• Identify engineering gaps, risks, and uncertainties and propose mitigation strategies.

4. Scope Challenge and Prioritization (RIPT)
• Support preparation and execution of risk - based scope challenge and RIPT activities.
• Validate scope feasibility, constructability, access, and execution assumptions from a field perspective.
• Identify scope interactions, SIMOPS risks, and potential execution constraints early.
• Support refinement of worklists to improve readiness and predictability.

5. Digital Data Integrity & IMPACT Salesforce
• Support accurate and timely entry of scope, equipment, and readiness data into IMPACT Salesforce.
• Ensure scope data aligns with engineering, material, and planning assumptions.
• Support data quality checks and resolution of discrepancies across systems and worklists.
• Enable single - source - of - truth data handover into execution phases.

6. Early Phase Execution Interface & Transition Support
• Support smooth transition from early phase planning into detailed planning and execution.
• Enable single - source - of - truth IMPACT Salesforce data maintainability throughout execution phases.

7. Safety, OE & Quality
• Embed Company OE expectations into early - phase scope definition and execution assumptions.
• Promote quality and compliance with engineering standards and safe work practices.

8. Continuous Improvement & Capability Development
• Capture lessons learned from early - phase activities and prior TARs.
• Support improvement of early - phase tools, templates, and workflows.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Basic or Minimum Qualifications
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Turnarounds, Maintenance, Engineering, or Field support engineering execution environments.
• Experience supporting scope development, constructability, or field execution planning.
• Strong communication and cross-functional interface skills.

Working Conditions:
• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations;
• Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere;
• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
