About This Role

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Office Manager to run our New York City office. You will own the day-to-day operations of the office and shape the experience of everyone who works in it or walks through the door.

This is a growing office of approximately 30 employees that we continue to build out over time, making it ideal for someone who thrives in an intimate setting but also wants to be part of a high-growth, fast-paced and entrepreneurial organization. The ideal candidate brings a service-oriented mindset, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is eager to take real ownership rather than wait to be directed.

As our New York City office continues to expand, this role will be instrumental in shaping a strong, professional culture and fostering a collaborative workplace community. This is an exciting opportunity for an operations-minded professional seeking a stable, long-term home where they can collaborate with an entrepreneurial team and grow alongside a new office.

This position is based in New York City, with daily on-site work.

Requirements

What You'll Do
  • Own the day-to-day running of the New York City office, keeping it productive, professional, and largely self-sufficient.
  • Greet visitors and create a welcoming, professional first impression for guests, candidates, and partners.
  • Ensure the office reflects LAC's values and culture in terms of hospitality, organization, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for office safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain office and kitchen inventory, place orders, and track office spend against budget.
  • Handle facilities issues end to end, coordinating repairs, maintenance, and building access with property management.
  • Own the small moments that build culture: coffee mornings, team lunches, networking hours, birthdays, and holiday celebrations.
  • Help coordinate catering, deliveries, and logistics for other meetings, team events, and off-sites.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to support local and national initiatives and partner with the office and administrative teams in our Santa Monica, Minneapolis, and Denver offices.
  • Partner with People/HR on new hire setup, including desk, equipment, building access, and first-day logistics.
  • Conduct ad hoc research and support special projects, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving.
  • Review and submit work for invoices and expense reports in partnership with Accounts Payable
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A love of event planning important
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently - you will be the primary operational presence in the office day to day.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to create a welcoming and efficient workspace for all New York City team members and visitors.
  • Comfort owning vendor relationships and office budgets, and the judgment to resolve day-to-day issues without escalation.

Your Education and Experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or a comparable administrative role.
  • Experience in a professional corporate environment; real estate, financial services, or professional services is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

The expected hourly pay range for this role is $40-45 per hour. This represents the current range and is subject to change. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
