Full Job Description
Your next role should be one where you actually run things.

This is not an admin role. This is the person who keeps the entire operation running. You'll manage HR, payroll, compliance coordination, vendor relationships, and the day-to-day flow of a professional office. You'll supervise a small team, own the employee handbook, coordinate performance reviews, and work directly with the principal advisor on business planning and strategy. If you're the kind of person who sees a broken process and fixes it before anyone asks, you'll thrive here.

What you'll actually do

You'll manage HR for a team of 5-6 people. That means onboarding new hires, maintaining employee files, coordinating benefits, running payroll, handling PTO tracking, and managing the performance review process. You don't need to be an HR attorney, but you should know enough to keep the firm compliant and the team supported. One of your early priorities will be evaluating our current benefits package and bringing recommendations to make it stronger for the team.

You'll supervise daily operations. That includes team scheduling, workflow coordination, office supply management, vendor coordination, and making sure the office runs smoothly from the moment the phones turn on until the last light goes off.

You'll handle compliance coordination. You'll work with our broker-dealer (Raymond James) on branch compliance, audit preparation, CE tracking, and gift log management. You'll make sure marketing materials are submitted for approval and that the team stays current on licensing and regulatory requirements.

You'll support business planning. You'll help coordinate the annual business plan, track progress against goals, maintain the marketing and event calendar, and make sure things that need to happen actually happen on schedule.

You'll be a people leader. You'll conduct team meetings, support professional development, manage conflict resolution when it comes up, and maintain a culture where people want to show up and do good work.

Requirements

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

You have 3+ years of experience managing an office, a team, or business operations in a professional services environment. You have hands-on experience with HR functions: hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and performance management. You're organized enough to juggle competing priorities without dropping anything important. You communicate clearly in writing and in person. You're comfortable with technology and can learn new systems quickly.

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in financial services, wealth management, or a broker-dealer environment. Familiarity with Raymond James systems or similar BD platforms. Experience with CRM systems (we use Salesforce). A bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification.

Benefits

What you get

Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonus. Benefits include medical (50% employer-paid for employee coverage), employer-paid group life and long-term disability, Safe Harbor 401(k) with match, and PTO starting at 10 days (increasing with tenure). You'll work in a professional, collaborative office environment with a team that genuinely cares about doing good work.
