Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Account Manager to develop and manage key relationships within the automotive manufacturing industry. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, drive business growth, support commercial activities, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term account success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with assigned customer accounts.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for commercial, product, and program-related matters.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while supporting existing accounts.
  • Manage quotes, pricing activities, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate customer requirements across internal departments to ensure timely execution and support.
  • Attend customer meetings, reviews, and industry events as needed.
  • Monitor customer portals and manage submissions related to quotations, project updates, and commercial documentation.
  • Support strategic account planning, growth initiatives, and business development activities.
  • Analyze market trends, customer roadmaps, and profitability metrics to identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, account reviews, business reports, and performance updates for leadership.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, finance, and program teams to support customer objectives.
  • Review sales performance and profitability data, making recommendations to improve margins and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance.
  • Support annual sales objectives and departmental goals through proactive customer engagement and strategic planning.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of account management, business development, or sales experience within the automotive industry.
  • Experience supporting OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive customers.
  • Strong background in preparing customer quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and customer priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office and CRM/business management systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
