Full Job Description
The Work:

Seeking an OCI Cloud Administrator in support of program capability to provide operational input and support for the operations, maintenance, and refinement of Enterprise Cloud environment, execution support for migrating new and legacy applications and services to cloud computing and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure. The candidate will support our clients in their cloud operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. This includes working with our system admins when supporting application teams, working with project teams to operate & maintain (O&M) client applications on their cloud platform. The Cloud Administrator will be focused on and must have expertise with, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) components, resources, services, and tools. Responsibilities include:
  • Utilize Enterprise Cloud Operational Tools, the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) native portal, and/or other approved tools necessary to support workloads in the VA's enterprise cloud tools listed at the bottom).
  • Assist with compliance, logging, and monitoring solutions for OCI workloads.
  • Assist with reporting on current OCI status.
  • Documentation of production operations processes via production operation manuals (POMs). • Support OCI cloud-based continuous improvement, deployment, and migration efforts as needed
  • Utilize automation tools such as Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform or similar as needed in support of OCI workloads. ServiceNow. - Logging/ Observability: Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Splunk. - Migration: CloudKey, Jira. - Reporting: Apptio, Cloudability.

Here's What You Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or technical discipline (10 years additional work experience might be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Three (3) to six (6) years setting up, configuring and using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) operational tools to ensure service level agreements and performance targets are met, and continued compliance with policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Experience in systems administration within Linux (Red Hat) or Windows environments.
  • Experience in one or more of the VAECOT suite of tools, shown below: - OCI Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Operational Tools/Services. - Oracle Cloud Security: Access Governance, Autonomous Linux, Bastian, Certificates, Cloud Guard, Hardware Root of Trust, Identity and Access Management, Isolated Network Virtualization, Key Management, Network Firewall, Security Zones, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Scanning. - Oracle Cloud Monitoring and Logging: Connector Hub, Database Management, Fleet Application Management, Full Stack Disaster Recovery, Logging, Log Analytics, Monitoring, Stack Monitoring, Notifications, Ops Insights, OS Management Hub, Resource Manager. - Oracle Cloud Networking: DNS Management, FastConnect, Load Balancers, Networking Gateways, Private Endpoint, Site-to-Site VPN, Virtual Cloud Networks. - Oracle Storage: Archive Storage, Block Volumes, File Storage, Object Storage, Storage Gateway.
  • Some experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP tool equivalents to OCI Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
  • Operational Tools/Services desired: - Cloud Security: Armis, BigFix, CloudStrike, Centrify, NetSkope, Tenable Nessus. - Cloud Governance: Turbot. - Containerization: Red Hat OpenShift. - DevOps/Configuration Management/Help Desk: Ansible, Cloudockit, GitHub, Jira ServiceDesk,


Bonus Points if You Have:
  • Current OCI certification or a recent passing exam (e.g., OCI Associate/ Professional/ Specialist levels).
  • Experience creating, testing, and maintaining virtual machine images.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guides.
  • Assisting application teams with system administration.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or ITIL knowledge.
  • Knowledge of security regulations, best practices, countermeasures, compliance standards and current threats.
  • Previous Federal Government experience

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
