What to Expect as a OT at Ignite Medical Resorts:
• Caseload will contain a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics (fractures, joint replacements/revisions), neurological conditions (CVA, brain injury), falls, respiratory conditions, generalized weakness/deconditioning, medical management. The goal for all patients is to return to their prior living situation or the next level of care as we are a short-term facility and not provide long term care.
• Patient load is typically 1-5 evaluations per day and depending on number of evaluations, 4-10 treatment sessions per day averaging 35-65 minutes per session (depending on patient diagnosis and tolerance). For documentation our facilities utilize Nethealth and PointClickCare.
• Schedules are flexible- we do not have set times for therapy sessions so therapists could choose to set their own start time, within reason.
• Ignite Medical Resorts will utilize a specialized rehab technician to provide our guests/patients with additional services.
