Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time or part-time on-site role as an Occupational Therapist (OT) serving a school located in Kenai Peninsula, AK.

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details
  • Flexible part-time schedule of 12-20 hours per week,
  • Part-time and full-time opportunities available
  • 2026-2027 school year (August through May/June)
  • School-based assignment serving students across Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Responsibilities include providing direct therapy, conducting evaluations, collaborating with school teams through consultation, and managing assigned caseloads
  • Guaranteed paid hours that include treatment, documentation, planning, meetings, and other administrative responsibilities
  • Fully on-site, in-person position
  • Reasonable caseloads that support high-quality student services
  • Receive ongoing collaboration and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds team

Qualifications
  • BS, Master's, OTD, or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university

  • Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction

  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications


Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
