Full-time Replacement (90%)

Salary Scale:

$57,547 to $105,578

nATURE OF THE WORK

The Occupational Therapist will be required to:
  • Perform duties relating to the development of the objectives and guidelines of the occupational therapy services;
  • Have consideration for the general administrative and educational policies in effect at the level of the school or the level of head office;
  • Be responsible for the application of these policies;
  • Participate in case studies within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Ensure that support is available for those requiring assistance in the understanding and teaching of students presenting with special learning needs;
  • Work closely with school teams in the development of adapted instructional activities for ongoing implementation in the classroom;
  • Support the needs of students with significant challenges, such as by helping to determine methods for alternate assessment;
  • Prepare school teams for the diversification of the teaching skills that are required to teach students presenting with special learning needs

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Be a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec
  • A mastery of the English language and the ability to function effectively in French.
  • Ideally, some experience working in the educational (or related) field.
