  • Consult with families in the home for students with complex physical needs regarding accessibility and equipment

Temporary Full-Time from August 17, 2026 to March 26, 2027
Brampton Site
37.5 hours/week

Replacement Position
Compensation Range: $45.80 - $53.87/hour

Position Summary:
School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) provides occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy to students in publicly funded schools from kindergarten to school exit. SBRS clinicians consult with the school team to enable student participation in the school curriculum and school based activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial assessments, reassessments, goal setting and consultation to the school team and treatment when appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to determine a service delivery plan for each student
  • Equipment prescription through the Special Education Amount (SEA) program.
  • Documentation of care.
  • Liaising with the school team and parents to book appointments.
  • Providing a Tiered Model of Service in elementary and middle schools.
  • Consultation to families/caregivers in the home environment for students with complex physical needs regarding accessibility and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university;
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO);
  • Experience with school age clients is an asset;
  • Experience providing service delivery within a Tiered Model of Service is an asset;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management proficiency;
  • An ability to display a high level of initiative;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset;
  • Current C.P.R. and First Aid;
  • Travel is a requirement for these roles;
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.
