Job DescriptionEvaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capacities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance improvement, Infection control, and safety and education programs. The staff Occupational Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Occupational Therapist Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.
Required Qualifications:- Coursework/Training: Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.
- Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Upon hire: California Occupational Therapist License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
