Occupational Therapist

Full-time Days

  • Upper Valley (Surrounding Area)

At the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, re-evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed provider. Coordinates and communicates treatment activities with health care team members and the patient. Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist:
  • Evaluates the patient's need for occupational therapy and develops/carries out appropriate treatment plan.
  • Instructs family members, COTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
  • Communicates with the physician and other health care providers on a regular basis regarding the patient's progress.
  • Provides clinical oversight of COTAs in the home.

    Qualifications
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact license.
    • Graduate of an accredited school in Occupational Therapy


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • One year of experience as an OT in a home health care setting is preferred


    Required Licensure/Certifications

    - Unencumbered OT license in VT and NH or compact. - Driver's license, minimum requirements on car insurance, and a clean driving record
