Occupational Therapist

Up to $45-50/hour | Columbus, GA | Full-Time | [redacted] School Year | Full-time contract position supporting students with disabilities by providing occupational therapy services to support development, rehabilitation, and progress toward IEP goals.

Position Details:
  • Caseload within Muscogee County School District
  • Full Time - Starting July 2026
  • 1.0 FTE, M-F

What You'll Do
  • Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
  • Evaluate student abilities across functional areas including oral motor, sensory motor, activities of daily living, fine motor, and postural skills
  • Select and administer appropriate assessments and provide direct, consultative, and collaborative therapy services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support development of student goals and services
  • Obtain, modify, and document adaptive equipment and supplies as needed
  • Instruct and support staff, parents, and students in therapeutic and follow-up activities at school and home
  • Train staff on proper handling, positioning, and use of adaptive/assistive devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records and perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or above from an approved accredited college or university in occupational therapy
  • Hold State of Georgia occupational therapy licensure
  • Have knowledge of theory and methods of occupational therapy
  • Have knowledge of normal and abnormal child development.
  • Demonstrated skill in adapting or designing equipment for individual needs
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
