Full Job Description
Our Occupational Medicine team is hiring for a full-time Occupational Medicine Physician/ Department Chair. Opportunity to join a seasoned and diverse group of providers and support staff, caring for patients referred from The Corvallis Clinic and outside organizations as well as self-referrals. We specialize in work-related injury/illness and environmental exposures. We also provide ongoing services to governmental/business/industry/education partners in the region; including preemployment evaluations, periodic medical evaluations, commercial driver medical evaluations, and fitness for duty evaluations.

Practice Highlights:

  • Focus on work-related injury/illness/environmental exposures, worker evaluations for various organizations/jobs (commercial drivers, public safety, manufacturing, and others), and Medical Review Officer services/oversight
  • Perform administrative duties as Department Chair in overseeing two clinical locations, 1-2 other providers, and multiple support staff (clinical, laboratory, administrative). You will partner with an Operations Practice Supervisor as a department dyad

• Flexible Schedules: Create your ideal work life balance with options to practice a 4-day work week and built-in administrative time

  • Onboarding: All new hires have a detailed and scaled on-boarding over 7 weeks, building up towards a full patient load gradually
  • Robust Support: Administrative and clinical support dedicated to supporting your practice, including managing claims.
  • Typical Day: See up to 17-22 patients per day, 60 minutes for new patients, 30 minutes for follow-ups
  • Leadership Opportunities: Interested providers will develop into leadership roles within the department and the organization
  • Call - critical lab or physician to physician calls only after hours and weekends (no patient calls)

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or a closely related specialty (including Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with applicable experience), or ability to obtain certification prior to employment
  • Unrestricted Oregon State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • FMCSA Medical Examiner certification and Medical Review Officer certification


Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $384,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
