A bit about this role:
Here is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious, clinically focused physician ready to practice in Care OnDemand, our virtual urgent care. In this model, you will provide remote, telehealth care to patients in the comfort of their home to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations, while appropriately escalating patients who require care in higher acuity settings. You will also support patients in our virtual observation unit with an interdisciplinary team. You will provide clinical supervision for a team of advanced practice providers practicing remotely across the country. We are building a next generation, value based, urgent care unit to dramatically improve health outcomes on a national scale.
Required skills and experience:
Forward-thinking, innovative, clinically outstanding board-certified physician with at least 3 years post-residency experience in any of the following fields: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care.
Telehealth experience preferred
Multi-state licensure preferred or willingness to obtain additional licensure
Adept at learning and utilizing electronic health data and medical record systems, including video, telephonic and AI platforms
Eagerness to advocate for care equity and accessibility for vulnerable patient populations.
Comfortable with being uncomfortable as we build the care model of the future
Desired skills and experience:
Experience in acute care settings, including Emergency Department, Urgent Care, hospital medicine or similar settings
Experience caring for older adults
Experience with population health or value-based care programs
Your Impact will include:
Your primary focus (80%) will be to deliver direct care in our virtual urgent care and observation unit. You will provide clinical supervision and teaching to a team of advance practice providers (20%) and foster a collaborative and supportive clinical environment, including leading clinical rounds and offering guidance on challenging scenarios.
Fiercely promote our model of caring for patients like family and safeguarding our collaborative team based culture.
Deliver exceptional care to patients with urgent care complaints across multiple geographies by leveraging video telehealth visits and a multidisciplinary team to keep them safely at home.
Manage patients in our virtual observation unit, to include management of acute-on-chronic exacerbations of disease, adhering to evidence-based practice, thoughtfully incorporating what matters most to patients/families, providing in-depth medication review/ deprescribing and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
Connect patients with primary care, within and outside Devoted Medical and bridge to comprehensive care programs such as complex care, behavioral health, chronic disease management and palliative care.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus, though not required.

Salary Range: $280,500- 338,000 / year
Full-time, salaried position. No overnight work required.

The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
