Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:

The O&M Service and Warranty Manager is responsible for the administration and execution of TAS warranty processes for projects that have completed the commissioning and startup phase. This position manages all warranty-related service activities and provides leadership for the ongoing lifecycle service support of TAS packaged systems operating within the TAS fleet.

This position leads and supervises Field Engineers, Field Service Technicians, Service Coordinators, and Service Field Supervisors in support of aftermarket service operations and warranty execution activities.

The role requires close coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Controls Engineering, and customer personnel to resolve technical and operational issues associated with TAS systems in the field.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer and manage TAS warranty processes for completed projects transitioning from commissioning to operational status.
  • Lead and supervise Field Engineers, Field Service Technicians, Service Coordinators, and Service Field Supervisors.
  • Manage lifecycle service support programs for TAS packaged systems operating within the TAS fleet.
  • Coordinate and prioritize warranty service activities, field repairs, retrofits, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve warranty claims, field reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of customer warranty and service issues.
  • Coordinate field service manpower planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor service quality, response times, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Analyze warranty trends and field failure data to identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate root cause investigations with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
  • Oversee startup, troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities for TAS mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Support startup, preventative maintenance, and service of pumps, cooling towers, chillers, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management of field service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer site safety requirements.
  • Other responsibilities as designated by TAS.


JOB SKILLS:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.


EDUCATION & TRAINING:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related technical discipline preferred.
  • HVAC Trade School, apprenticeship training, or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • Military technical training and/or relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in field service, commissioning, startup, warranty administration, or aftermarket service operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing field service teams.
  • Experience with centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
  • Ability to travel extensively to domestic and international job sites.
  • Must have or be able to obtain applicable safety certifications including OSHA10 General Construction and NFPA-70E.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position requires a combination of office and field-based responsibilities with approximately 40%-60% travel, both domestic and international.

Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

The incumbent may be exposed to manufacturing, construction, and industrial site environments requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
