Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Software Architect within our teamNYS Insurance Fund located in New York, NY. This position is a 30 month contract, Hybrid (50% on site).
Key Responsibilities:
The duties of the consulting resource:
- Provide recommendations, guidance, and actual implementation for new data marts, as well as improving and consolidating existing Data marts (on-premise).
- Participate and contribute to data warehouse projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish written best practices, procedures and generally provide guidance on data modeling design
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported DW/DM, ETL...
- Plan, create, modify, maintain, test and implement code in support of any of the following:
- Source System extraction processes for the Data Warehouse.
- ETL processes.
- BI Dashboards and reports. (R, Python) - Develop and maintain Spotfire systems (including prediction models written in R/Python, TERR and automation services,),
- Automation of source system data extraction processes and data loading of the Data Warehouse.
- Operationalize prediction models
- The consultant will adhere to NYSIF's application development standards, including, but not limited to, project management methodology, SDLC (software development life cycle), Enterprise Architecture standards and the IT governance process. Support the BI Data Warehouse using TIBCO Spotfire, IBI Data Migrator.
- Build knowledge graph using Neo4j, Cypher, GDS
Qualifications:
84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 84 months Data Modeling experience in designing and creating DataMart, Data warehouse using Star & Snowflake Schemas in Insurance industry
- 84 months experience with designing and implementing ML, Predictive and AI systems.
- 84 months experience with Spotfire Analyst, Web Player using Iron Python, Python, Java Scripts, and R
- 84-month experience in developing, documenting, maintaining end to end ETL data pipeline using IBI Data Migrator (or similar tools)
- 24 months experience in developing data warehouse in Workers' Compensation Insurance industry (Medical Billing, Claims, DBL, PFL, Underwriting, Premium and payroll)
- 36 months experience in Graph Database (Neo4j, Cypher, GDS)
- 84 months experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, including triggers, stored procedures, packages, and advanced query optimization, database design and implementation.
- 48 months experience in implementing data governance programs including solid knowledge of (data management, data quality, and data lineage )
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Master Degree in Computer Science or Data Science
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 70 .00 - $ 75 .00.
