Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
Current management position or 2 years of peri anesthesia/perioperative experience
Alabama Board of Nursing License
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire or transfer
NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire or transfer
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or related field
Preferred: 3-5 years of peri anesthesia/perioperative experience and 2 years in a management role
Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise peri anesthesia care for patients undergoing procedures
Manage operational and fiscal aspects of the peri anesthesia areas
Support and lead efforts towards achieving strategic goals
Clearly communicate information through various media to engage audiences
Utilize flexible interpersonal skills to build cohesive teams

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the peri anesthesia Peri anesthesia care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Provides support and leadership in making progress toward achievement of strategic goals. Manages the peri anesthesia areas both operationally and fiscally. Follows EAMC standards of behavior for leadership and clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Associates's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing school
Minimum Experience
Current Management position or 2 years Peri anesthesia/Perioperative experience
Required Registration/License/Certification
Alabama Board of Nursing License
BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
PALS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
NIHSS w/in 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion)
