Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Rock Hill, SC

Lead Emergency Care in a Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership within a busy Emergency Department. In this role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support nursing staff, and help ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department.
  • Coordinate staffing resources and assignments to ensure appropriate patient coverage.
  • Respond effectively to urgent situations and provide guidance during emergencies.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Monitor patient care practices and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing department performance indicators and improvement plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Review documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure completion of essential shift activities.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Maintain clinical competency and provide direct support as needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with multistate privileges or ability to obtain required multistate licensure within designated timeframes.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
  • CPI certification obtained during the orientation period.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
Preferred
  • Two or more years of acute care nursing experience, emergency department experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and promote positive patient outcomes.
