Job Description

Are you a bold, compassionate leader ready to make a real impact in behavioral healthcare? We're seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)-a long-standing provider of care for adults with psychiatric and behavioral health needs. This is not a typical nursing home role; it's a mission-driven opportunity to lead a stable, experienced team and implement innovative clinical programming designed to help patients successfully transition back into the community.

Yes, the building is older. Yes, the patient population brings unique and complex challenges. But the people here-residents and staff alike-are worth it.

What Makes This Role Unique:
  • Behavioral Health Focus: You'll be at the helm of a behavioral health care environment, supported by new clinical programming and a strong interdisciplinary team.
  • Dedicated Long-Term Staff: Our Director of Nursing has been with us for over 20 years. Our HR Coordinator for more than a decade. We're proud of our low staff turnover and few open positions-a testament to our workplace culture.
  • Community-Oriented Mission: Our goal is not just care, but progress. We prepare our residents for life outside our walls-working closely with them on reintegration, recovery, and resilience.

What You Can Expect
  • High standards and a supportive culture from our region team
  • A tight-knit leadership team with shared vision
  • A facility and team that reflect both tenacity and heart
  • Programming that goes well beyond bingo-focused instead on individual care and community success

What our employees may say to you (excerpts from our employee survey):
  • "I feel like I make a difference here."
  • "People here are willing to give a little extra to get the job done right."
  • "When I look at what we accomplished, I feel a sense of pride."

Qualifications

You must hold the IL Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) state license.

What we need from you:
  • Experience as an LNHA in a SNF, ICF or SMHRF setting
  • A focus on ROIs, QMs and facility metrics - you know how to measure your accomplishments
  • Ability to build a team and potentially bring some with you
  • A love for what you do, and your education and credentialing reflect it.
