Qualifications

• 5-7 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in urgent care settings.
• 2+ years of experience in pediatric assessment and treatment as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Proficient in urgent care procedures, including laceration repair and initial fracture management.
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory guidelines like OSHA and CLIA.
• Valid, unencumbered Texas RN license required.
• Current certification by recognized national certifying bodies (PNP-BC, FNP-BC, or NCCPA).
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical directors and physicians to deliver pediatric care under established protocols.
• Perform patient assessments to determine health status.
• Initiate appropriate treatments based on patient diagnoses.
• Make independent clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide age-appropriate care to children in urgent care settings.
• Manage minor urgent care procedures and treatments.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate patient records.
