Job DescriptionAtlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Surgery at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. The increasingly busy Department of Surgery provides the most progressive surgical methods using the latest technology to provide outstanding patient care. In addition, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is home to a state-of-the-art bioskills simulation laboratory that's accredited as an Educational Institute by the American College of Surgeons for additional staff training.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients. The primary role of the Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Surgery is supporting the surgical house staff in the care of patients requiring surgical consultation, pre and post operative management under an attending surgeon's supervision with or without surgical house staff involvement.
Qualifications- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- 1.5 or more years' experience in Nursing or relevant area
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
