Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner in this role will play an important role on the primary care team at General Physician Primary Care.

The position is hybrid, with the practitioner providing care on site and also in a virtual setting .

This position requires previous virtual clinical expertise to provide accessible and timely care to individuals seeking medical attention.

  • Assess and diagnose; implement treatment plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures
  • Prescribe medication, provide health education and guidance regarding treatment
  • Knowledge base to be able to recommend community resources and refer patients to collaborating physician or specialist
  • Administrative responsibilities such as updating patient charts, billing codes and completing required documents from outside agencies.
  • In-basket review to manage test results, medication refills; returning patient calls and completing related follow up for patient care


Education And Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in primary care and virtual medicine experience
  • Strong EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Excellent virtual presence along with strong communication and interpersonal skills for follow up and collaboration on the team
  • NY License, DEA, and 3 years' experience, preferable in Primary Care.

Graduate of accredited program with Current NYS Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Licensure and Active Board Certification, Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
