Gainesville, Florida | Outpatient + Inpatient Cardiology | New Graduates Considered

The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established cardiovascular team in Gainesville, Florida.

This full-time position provides the opportunity to care for cardiovascular patients across both the clinic and hospital setting. The APP will work alongside experienced cardiologists and fellow advanced practice providers, managing a broad patient population while developing strong clinical experience in cardiovascular medicine.

We welcome experienced providers as well as new graduates who have a strong interest in cardiology. For providers early in their careers, our team offers hands-on support, mentorship, and the opportunity to build cardiovascular knowledge within an established physician-led practice.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Provide evaluation and ongoing management of cardiovascular patients
  • See patients in both the outpatient clinic and hospital setting
  • Participate in hospital rounding, consultations, and follow-up care
  • Obtain patient histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations
  • Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, EKGs, imaging, and stress testing
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and cardiovascular health
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, referring providers, and other members of the clinical team
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record

  • Eligible for Florida licensure
  • Interest in building or continuing a career in cardiovascular medicine
  • Previous cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience is a plus, but not required
