Full Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma team at IU Health Medical Group Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN!

Position Details:
  • Full-time, Day shift
    • OR days will start at 7am and non-OR days start at 8a-4:30p (Monday-Friday)
  • No call
  • 80% Inpatient
  • 20% Outpatient
  • Team includes 8 physicians and 16 advanced providers
Procedures:
  • Fracture/Dislocation reductions
  • Application of splints
  • 1st assistant in the OR
  • Joint Injections
  • Joint aspirations
  • Wound Vac applications and changes
  • Traction Application
Key Responsibilities:
  • Orthopedic trauma consults
Qualifications:
  • ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification REQUIRED
  • Candidate must be flexible, team player, critical thinker, and a have desire to learn
  • APP experienced PREFERRED
  • New grads considered with Ortho background, and clinicals
  • Experience working as an Ortho APP

With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care.

IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals.
