Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Primary Care

MaineHealth - Primary Care - Virtual Quick Care

Schedule: Full Time - Remote

MaineHealth Virtual Quick Care is recruiting for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Provides care in a remote capacity across all virtual care programs including but not limited to remote patient management or monitoring, virtual in basket, and virtual quick care. Participates in continuous process improvement efforts, including thoughtful engagement with workflow design and refinement. Provides feedback to leadership, demonstrates flexibility, and embraces innovation in support of team and organizational goals. This role will require strong communication and collaboration skills, confidence in clinical decision making, an ability to work independently, and a 'builder' mindset, with a driving desire to build and provide the best care possible to our patients and care teams at MaineHealth. Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, and/or chronic disease management is preferred for this position.

Schedule: 4 days a week. The group is primarily seeking weekday availability.

This provider must live in Maine or New Hampshire. This role has an expectation for on-site physical presence during the calendar year; details will be provided in connection with the interview and hiring process.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a Master's Degree level of education is preferred.
  • Must be able to see patients of all ages.
  • License/Certifications:
    • Current license issued by the State of Maine as Nurse Practitioner or physician Assistant.
    • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
    • Current certification as NP or PA required.
    • BLS certification is required.
  • Experience: Three or more years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with use of technology and web-based practice tools.
  • Proficiency with the use of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Willingness to innovate and work collaboratively in an iterative manner to improve processes, workflows and patient care tools.
  • Comfort with rapid change.

This position offers:

  • The pay range for this position is $ $113,900 to $147,400 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
