Job Summary:

Geisinger is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Specialty Clinic. In this role, you will work collaboratively with vascular surgeons and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of vascular conditions.

Job Duties:

  • Acts as primary point of contact for clinical staff regarding questions and concerns involving patients for general or specific purposes.
  • Participates in quality assurance measures and when needed technical instruction for clinical procedures.
  • Assists Chief AP in the onboarding of new AP staff including, but not limited to, their orientation and professional development, monitoring progression to independence following appropriate training, and determination if further training may be required.
  • Assists Chief AP in coordinating activities of AP staff including, but not limited to, schedules, daily responsibilities, continuing medical education, and other duties as assigned by the Chief AP, Department Director and Operations Management.
  • Assists Chief AP in the ongoing development of goals and objectives for the AP staff, both individually and collectively.
  • Assists with interviewing AP candidates.
  • Assists Chief AP in monitoring the daily schedule of activities to ensure objectives are met.
  • Assists Chief AP and operational leadership in assuring appropriate utilization of APs.
  • Maintains clinical practice skills and patient care duties.
