Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Internal Medicine | Portland, MEWhat You'll Do- Provide comprehensive care to adults with acute and chronic conditions all while promoting wellness, preventive health, and patient education.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Perform in-office procedures, prescribe medications, and interpret/manage diagnostic results.
- Participate in quality initiatives and team-based improvement efforts.
- Respond to urgent situations and support patient safety.
- Ensure strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and all InterMed policies.
- Carry out additional responsibilities aligned with InterMed's mission, vision, and values.
What You Bring- 2+ Years of experience post-graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN - Master of Science in Nursing, DNP - Doctor of Nursing Practice) or Physician Assistant program (MPAS - Master of Physician Assistant Studies, MSPA - Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, MHS - Master of Health Science (PA))
- Active or pending, unencumbered licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Maine
- Board Certification
- Active or pending DEA Certification in the state of Maine
- Active BLS certification
- Maintain continuing education appropriate for scope of practice and licensure
