Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys outpatient primary care and is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare in rural communities.
Position Responsibilities

The NP/PA will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan and will divide time between our Wrightsville Clinic and Johnson County School Clinic. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting patient examinations, assessments, and evaluations
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic health conditions
  • Ordering, reviewing, and interpreting appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Prescribing medications and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing preventive care, health education, and wellness counseling
  • Managing chronic conditions and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals
  • Providing age-appropriate care to students in the school-based health center
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, school personnel, and other members of the care team
  • Following CHCS clinical, quality, compliance, and patient-care policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Current Georgia licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Current national certification, as applicable
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain, if required for the position
  • Current BLS certification
  • Primary care, family medicine, pediatric, or community health experience preferred
