Job Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide office-based care and see patients independently alongside collaborating physicians and APPs. Our Nurse Practitioners mostly work within Centers of Excellence built around specific urologic conditions. Office-based procedures can be taught if desired. Most common diagnoses would include: kidney stones, male voiding dysfunction, female voiding dysfunction, elevated PSA/prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate
  • Assess the patient's medical condition by completion of a urological examination
  • Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested
  • Order and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient's medical condition
  • Develop and perform treatment plans in accordance with established protocols
  • Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate
  • Perform procedures in office setting (cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, etc.) as trained
