Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
  • Build a rapport with the patient and explain condition and course of action effectively through written and oral communication
  • Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling
  • Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses
  • Perform quality control and maintain a high standard in relation to infection control mechanisms for patient safety
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for patients
