Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nocturnist NP Provider, you will join a physician-centric organization dedicated to delivering top-quality, accessible inpatient care within the community. You will have the opportunity to focus on patient well-being, supported by comprehensive resources designed to streamline administrative tasks and enhance your practice within a hospital setting.In your practice, you will engage in a flexible work schedule, typically involving dedicated inpatient shifts (e.g., 7-on/7-off or similar models). You will provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, diagnostic workups, and discharge planning. This role demands strong clinical acumen for managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions and close collaboration with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician committed to upholding the highest standards of medical ethics and customary practice. You will possess exceptional clinical skills in inpatient medicine and a passion for providing compassionate, high-value care to acutely ill patients.
  • Be responsible for comprehensive patient care to assure that the health care needs of patients are being met, including attendance at Interdisciplinary or nursing rounds and daily communication with the team caring for the patient.
  • Renders quality medical services according to qualifications as an internal medicine or family practice physician with appropriate referrals, follow-up and hospitalization.
  • The Hospitalist supports hospital medical staff and other area physicians utilizing the Hospitalist service by overseeing the inpatient experience, including providing follow-up care for patients in the outpatient realm.
  • Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient, family and hospital staff.
  • The Hospitalist documents information completely for patient care and billing purposes, and assists in the review of work flow, office practices and objectives; and teaches medical students, residents and others in graduate health education programs.
Job Requirements

Required

  • 1 year of experience in a clinical or advance practice setting, preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
  • Masters Degree in Nursing as Nurse Practitioner, from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program required. Must be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Graduate from an Accredited School Of Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry required. Board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty.
  • RN License required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
  • Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan.

Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
