Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in addiction medicine
• Strong background in primary care settings or community health
• Experience working with vulnerable populations and youth
• Possession of a valid Nurse Practitioner certification and license
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate approach to patient care, focusing on underserved communities

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services at the Cowichan Wellness Recovery Centre and Overdose Prevention Site
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs
• Collaborate with Addiction Medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Deliver care in various locations including patient homes and supported housing sites
• Engage with patients to promote health literacy and recovery strategies
