JOB DESCRIPTION
NURSE PRACTITIONERReports to: Medical Director for Clinical Supervision
Chief Operations Officer for Administrative Supervision
Salary: Negotiable
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluation and diagnosis of consumers in outpatient setting
- Will conduct routine medication management and six-month reassessments
- Pharmacological treatment for patients including prescribing medications and providing follow -up in office or in the field if needed
- Provide continuity of care by facilitating hospital admits when needed
- Coordinate care with other service providers inside and/or outside of the agency. This includes availability for telephone consultations and team meetings as needed
- Consult with the supervising physician as needed
- Responsible for ensuring that 20% of work is reviewed by the Medical Director or designee every 30 days as required by state licensing board
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- RN degree; Advance Practice Nurse
- Full unrestricted TN license or multistate license that includes TN
- Nurse Practitioner certification; Psychiatry certification preferred
- Previous mental health experience
- Excellent communication skills
