Qualifications

• Masters in nursing (MSN) or DNP required
• Completion of proctoring by Medical Staff Office
• Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in patient care
• 3 years' experience in Women’s Health or Adult Oncology for specific role
• Current California RN and Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• National board certification as Nurse Practitioner in specialty area required (except Outpatient Oncology)

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care in accordance with regulatory standards
• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments and document plans of care
• Request physician consultations and multidisciplinary consults when necessary
• Manage ethical, legal, and medical dilemmas by consulting appropriate resources
• Work independently or under indirect supervision of a supervising physician
• Order and administer medications, IV therapy, and diagnostic tests as needed
• Perform drain and suture removal, as well as other assigned duties
