Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our NeuroICU Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care so they can begin their journey to recovery and healing.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise in our fast-paced, 20-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, the region's leader in neurovascular care, to treat a high volume of patients with a diverse range of neurological conditions. You will perform comprehensive neuro assessments and interventions, making critical decisions and meticulously implementing patient care plans, while a dedicated Neuro Critical Care Nurse provides 24/7 support for stroke alerts and transfers. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neurointerventional radiologists, and neurocritical care specialists, all working together to deliver exceptional, personalized care.

- Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
- Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
- Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
- Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
- Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.
We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Minimum One (1) year RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) from American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire
Preferred:
- One (1) year experience in Neuro and/or Trauma critical care in an acute care setting
