  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance and productivity, explain variances, and participate in capital planning to support long-term operational success.
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives by evaluating key performance indicators, improving patient outcomes, enhancing the patient and family experience, and responding proactively to performance data.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and ethical nursing practice while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Lead change initiatives and leverage technology and data to improve clinical workflows, support strategic planning, and advance UVA Health's ambulatory operations.
  • Build strong interdisciplinary partnerships through collaboration, communication, shared decision-making, and a commitment to culturally responsive care.
  • Maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care as needed.

Every aspect of this role is grounded in the mission, vision, and values of UVA Health and aligned with the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) Core Competencies, empowering you to lead with integrity, compassion, innovation, and excellence in pediatric healthcare.
