The RoleAs Nurse Manager, you will oversee clinical operations for an outpatient cancer center known for its exceptional patient experience and dedicated care teams. This position requires an experienced leader who is comfortable operating with a high level of independence and professional judgment in an off-site clinic environment.
In this role, you'll provide leadership that supports clinical quality, operational efficiency, staff development, and an outstanding patient experience. You will serve as a visible presence for both patients and team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead daily clinical and operational activities for the Cancer Center.
- Support and mentor a team of highly experienced oncology clinicians dedicated to exceptional patient care.
- Drive quality outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and administrative partners to optimize care delivery.
- Monitor staffing, workflow, resource utilization, and departmental performance metrics.
- Foster employee engagement, professional development, and retention within a tight-knit and supportive team culture.
- Champion initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for patients receiving complex oncology services.
This position offers a
Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing leaders to maintain strong work-life balance while making a significant impact on patient care.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required.
Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Virginia Driver's license required for managers with responsibility operations in multiple locations. Must have applicable specialty certification at hire or within 3 years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The pay range for this role is $104,062.40 - $138,819.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
