Nurse Manager (RN)

Full-time

Day shift

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

We have an amazing opportunity for a Nurse Manager
that can:

  • Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care
  • Handle emergency calls as necessary and informs Director of Nursing and Administrator
    when appropriate
  • Attend daily stand up meetings and reports the status of residents and other related
    matters as required. Reviews 24-hour report with nurses and supervisors as needed
  • Oversee daily assignments for staff
  • Responsible for interviewing and hiring process of all new candidates
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

  • Current unencumbered license to work as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Current CPR Certification .
  • Three years experience in long-term care facility, with one-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive dementia experience.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Assisted Living.
  • Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, e-mail and other general computer systems
