Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesWe have an amazing opportunity for a Nurse Manager
that can:
- Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care
- Handle emergency calls as necessary and informs Director of Nursing and Administrator
when appropriate - Attend daily stand up meetings and reports the status of residents and other related
matters as required. Reviews 24-hour report with nurses and supervisors as needed - Oversee daily assignments for staff
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring process of all new candidates
- Complete other duties as assigned
Experience/Skills/EducationRequired:
- Current unencumbered license to work as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Current CPR Certification .
- Three years experience in long-term care facility, with one-year supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive dementia experience.
- Knowledge and experience related to the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.
- Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Assisted Living.
- Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, e-mail and other general computer systems
