Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager assumes primary leadership and management of the Transportation Logistics department to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality care. Major functions include goals, planning, customer service/marketing, standards, certification and accreditation, administrative management, budget/cost containment, communication, and education. Ensures adherence to hospital or department and university policies and to nursing policies, procedures, standards, and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing is required. NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) RN required. Three years post-licensure acute care RN experience (preferably in a specialty area) to include leadership experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree preferred. Transportation logistics experience preferred. Nursing Leadership certification upon appointment or obtained within three years of appointment is preferred. Other specialty-based certifications for nursing leadership (i.e., CCRN, CEN) are also encouraged and supported.
