Full Job Description
The Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative leadership for a defined patient care area. Responsibilities include 24-hour accountability for the management and long- term planning of the patient care area. This includes implementation of the nursing process, staff development and enhancement of the quality of patient care specific to the age/development of the patient population and cost containment. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, motivation and clinical expertise in the management and coordination of a specific Nursing unit(s) to provide quality patient care.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled, Masters' degree preferred.
* 3 years related experience within designated specialty demonstrated with leadership qualities.
* National Certification in area of expertise.
* Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse.
* BLS;. Membership in a professional organization preferred. Attendance at continuing education programs.
