Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Manager, Nursing, you will lead the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on assigned unit(s), focusing on daily operations to achieve departmental goals and foster a high-quality care environment. The Telemetry Unit department at Longmont United Hospital has 18 beds, we treat anything heart-related. We are part of a small community hospital and fill the niche for step down and med/surg overflow with a variety of acuity patients on our floor, as well as cardiac cath recovery. Our patient mix includes those with pacemaker, stroke, heart attack, arrythmia and those with medication needs. The culture is one of prevalent kindness where we embrace new employees. - Develop, monitor, and respond to a full range of financial, service, and quality indicators in all areas of responsibilities.
- Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity.
- Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
- Involve associates in decision through shared governance structure.
- Maintain compliance with operational procedures/organizational policies for the clinical activities and regulatory readiness.
- Conduct an evaluation of productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department’s budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with associates, physicians, and patients.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Three (3) years RN experience.
- One (1) year clinical leadership experience.
- Current RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
- Nursing Specialty Certification: Sit within six (6) months, and must achieve within two (2) years of hire to the role.
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Nursing
