Mental Health & Addictions NurseLocation: North Island Pharmacy Campbell River
Positions Available: Full-Time & Part-Time
What You'll DoAs part of an interdisciplinary care team, you will:
- Prepare, deliver and administer Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) medications (including methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone, and Kadian) in collaboration with pharmacists and prescribers
- During deliveries conduct witnessed ingestion and observed dosing while ensuring safe, accurate medication administration
- Monitor client progress, adherence, and overall wellbeing, responding appropriately to clinical or safety concerns
- Communicate changes in client presentation, missed doses, or risks to pharmacists and the broader care team
- Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and community partners to support coordinated care planning
- Provide education on OAT, harm reduction, overdose prevention, safe medication storage, and naloxone use
- Distribute naloxone kits and support overdose prevention initiatives
- Connect clients with community and social supports through referrals and resource navigation
- Maintain accurate, real-time documentation and controlled substance records in compliance with provincial guidelines and pharmacy standards
- Ensure clinical and pharmacy supplies are maintained to support safe service delivery
- Practice in accordance with BCCNM standards, professional regulations, and pharmacy policies
What You Bring- Current registration as an LPN or RN in good standing with BCCNM
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Experience in mental health and/or substance use care (preferred)
- Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed practice
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- A compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care
