Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs ourEmergency Department Registered Nurse (RN), you will help a diverse patient population experiencing urgent medical needs to receive expert, compassionate, and timely care during your 1500-0330 shift, so they can recover and return to their optimal health as quickly and safely as possible.
Every day you will work within a dynamic, multi-faceted, and team-oriented Emergency Department serving approximately 80,000 patients annually. You will be expected to collaborate closely with skilled physicians, management, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality trauma, stroke, and specialized care within various regional receiving specialties like ortho, high-risk maternity, NICU, and STEMI.

- Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
- Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
- Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
- Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.
- Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.

Job Requirements
Required
- Two (2) years recent experience in an Emergency department as a RN within the last five (5) years
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - American Heart Association
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six (6) months of hire
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within twenty four (24) months of hire
- Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing
